Hoping for a free credit repair?  You could look far and wide, but freebies are hard to come by these days.  Besides,  free credi repair does not mean that just because the fix is free of charge, it would free you from a negative credit rating.

There are consequences to taking your credit for granted.  If you do, you’ll need to pay dearly for it.  Many companies will lure you into thinking that a free credit repair might be in the works for you, but only if you pay certain fees – which by the way could add up if you’re not careful.

If lady luck is on your side, you might be able to obtain free credit repair on the Internet.  There are hundreds of credit free kit repairs and free credit repair letter samples that are being dangled before your very eyes.  Be careful which one you choose.  Don’t let your credit situation drive you into desperation.  Don’t grab the first offer that comes your way.  You’re not the only person in this continent with bad credit.  Before you get a credit free repair, make sure you’re receiving a legitimate service, and that it is done without breaking the law.

Before you go scrounging around for a free credit repair, ask for a free credit report about you, if this is at all obtainable.  Some companies will provide it, free of charge, and promise to send it to you immediately.

Since we wanted to check out a company just for fun, there was one that offered to get a free credit report and a free credit score both of which you could view online.  It looked like a legitimate site, but we weren’t sure what the 30-day free trial involved.  Did it mean that you’d have to shell out some dollars when the 30-day trial period was over?

If a company online ever offers free credit repair, and they have a 1-800 number that you can dial, it might not be a bad idea to give them a call just to see how free is free.

Some companies also specialize in a credit  repair program; again it won’t hurt to ask for a precise definition of the program.  You have a right to ask as many questions as you want.  It is your credit that’s at stake, and in the 21st century, credit can make or break you.
